43rd Annual Kennedy Honors

As tribute to Garth Brooks during the 43rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., Kelly performed a soulful rendition of his beloved song The Dance. Her performance of the popular song was so good that it moved Brooks to tears alongside his wife Trisha Yearwood. Earlier in the year, when Garth was a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly had told him how she connected to the track throughout her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

57th Annual Academy of Country Music

Similarly to her moving tribute to Garth, Kelly took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards to honor Dolly Parton. With a cover of the country legend’s I Will Always Love You, Kelly swept everyone off their feet with her powerhouse vocals.

Kellyoke | Kelly Covers Roxette

On the one-year anniversary of the death of Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson, Kelly sang for her eponymous talk show audience a powerful rendition of Roxette's It Must Have Been Love. The stellar performance was part of the infamous Kellyoke segmant that opens each show.

In another Kellyoke segment, Kelly brought her sweeping vocal range and elegant acrobatic melodies to cover Brandi Carlile's song The Story. The song has made its way to various platforms, including Grey's Anatomy for its ability to capture the human experience in all its pains and glory. This is a theme Kelly champions across many of her own songs.

A testimant to Kelly's showmanship and dedication, she and her band performed a moving cover of Bonnie Raitt's I cant make you love me with Kelly only able to sport one eye. Kelly is allergic to dust, and when filming the newest season of The Voice, something got in there and caused mayhem. Despite having to wear a goofy eyey patch, she's still able to deliver an emotional performance.

Disney Lifetime Achivement

Since 2002, Kelly has been know as THE American Idol, but since then, she has become one of music's legendary icons. Before recieving one of her many lifetime achievement trophies at the Radio Award Show, she performed a medley of her hit songs and reminded the world the extent of her talent.

Kelly & Ariana | NBC Christmas Special

Kelly and Ariana Grande are two of the biggest stars in pop music, but they took it to the next level when the duo pulled off an incredible feat performing their holiday duet Santa, Can't You Hear Me for the first time together, on camera, with no rehearsals! The song, off of Kelly's new holiday album When Christmas Comes Around was originally written as a solo track. Kelly revealed she almost scrapped it entirely before she got the inspiration to sing with Ariana. The performance was part of Kelly's NBC Christmas special also titled When Christmas Comes Around.
